In-Centre Provision at Stokesley
We provide academic teaching and education support in quiet classrooms for children and young people (Primary and Secondary) including those who may be anxious or withdrawn and need a calm learning environment. We are specialists in working with students who are neurodiverse or have a diagnosis of ASC. We work with vulnerable children and young people who may also have mental health needs adversely affecting their ability to actively communicate with adults or socialise with peers.
In our Stokesley Centre, the staffing ratio to the student is one-to-one, with teachers thoughtfully matched to students, to build trust. We support our young people in their communication with others and consider carefully how they will interact with any other students, who may be in the centre at the same time.
Additional Primary Provision:
For very anxious primary children, we offer a specific package of afternoon sessions. This package is for children who would benefit from re-engagement with their learning. Sessions include Literacy, Numeracy, baking and craft. Parents/carers can wait on-premises, with prior arrangement. Our homely kitchen facilities are ideal for primary children who find our provision a more familiar environment in which to reconnect with education.
